| Well... I haven't made a single post on Xanga since November. It's definitely crazy to think it's already well into June.
Just in case there's anyone who didn't know - I'm home in Jersey now, safe and sound (Well, you know, as "Safe and sound" as living in North Jersey will permit - Of course).
I'm just glad to finally be out of Iraq, really. I don't plan on ever going back... That place was absolutely atrocious.
But anyway, not only am I back... But I'm back and I'm no longer single! No, I didn't meet her in the Army - Nor is she in the Army - But we did indeed start corresponding while I was away. Her name is Anna, and we both really love each other, in all seriousness. She's an amazing person inside and out, and I truly consider myself lucky to have her.
So, that's pretty much my life in a nutshell.
At this rate, you can expect my next entry to occur sometime in January 2007.
| It's been a while since I've updated this thing... But not much has changed.
I'm still hard at work sustaining the insurgency, making sure they're okay... Such an honorable job, you know?
The Army is really starting to frown upon public blogs lately. They say too much information is being posted, and they're starting to crack down. No one has said anything to me, specifically yet... But I'm just putting it out there.
I'm pretty sure the fact that I can't stand my job, and I'm ashamed of what I'm asked to do on a daily basis, isn't a secret. It sucks here. Shocking, huh?
Other than that, I'm only 10 days away from being here exactly 6 months... This is the LONGEST stretch of time ever. In the real world, years seem to fly by like they're nothing. Here, it drags on for what seems like three or four.
That's pretty much all I've got for now.
Take care, everyone.

| I guess this has been the shortest year of my life, technically.
I mean, since there was no leap day, and I'm 8 hours ahead of my normal birthday time... This 'year' was only 364 days, 16 hours.
...And would you believe it? They've already had fireworks for me today. Lucky me.
| Why is it that people who are caught: setting up roadside bombs, shooting at soldiers, driving cars loaded with explosives, etc...
...Get free healthcare; while millions of tax-paying American citizens do not? In fact, it's their tax dollars that pay to keep these scumbags alive!
This dilemma agitates me on a daily basis.
